The SWTE plant generates energy in the form of electricity as a product of the thermal treatment of scheduled and clinical waste materials. It is designed for the treatment and disposal of scheduled waste while simultaneously generating and supplying electricity to the main grid. The plant treats 100MT of waste (heat load of 16.25 Gcal/day) with maximum designed power output of 3.4 MW/hr.
The electricity generated is fully exported to national grid. The SWTE plant is supplied by an expert waste-recycling company based in South Korea, Republic of Korea. Cenviro’s Schedule Waste to Energy (SWTE) plant offers a sustainable alternative to landfill disposal
by converting scheduled waste into energy.
Cenviro’s SWtE plant is designed to meet both European Union and Malaysian regulatory standards. Its emissions comply with Malaysia’s Environmental Quality (Clean Air) Regulations 2014. This project is a key milestone in Cenviro’s commitment to advancing the circular economy, reducing environmental impact, and reinforcing sustainable waste management in Malaysia.
