SUSTAINABLE PRINTING, ROOTED IN GERMAN QUALITY STANDARDS
Over 375 million empty toner and ink cartridges are thrown away as scrap every
year – this equates to roughly 11 cartridges every second!
The plastics used in printer cartridges are made from engineering grade polymer which has a very slow decomposition rate ranging between 450 and 1000 years depending on the cartridge type.
Generally, cheap new build compatible cartridges end up going straight to landfill at their end of life due to poor low grade plastics and components that are not of high enough quality standard to
reuse.
freecolor printer cartridges are remanufactured, meaning they are reused. Reuse is the highest form of environmental responsibility. It is superior to recycling in that it doesn’t use non-renewable resources to break down plastic and metal.
Using freecolor remanufactured cartridges will dramatically reduce your carbon footprint by preventing tonnes of toxic material going into landfill.
SUSTAINABLE QUALITY
For more than 20 years now, the freecolor brand has been one of the most successful and bestselling brands in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) – a market where product quality, reliability and sustainability are paramount. In recent years the brand has expanded successfully to international markets.
The freecolor product range has benefited from years and millions of dollars in the development of the most sophisticated manufacturing environment in the document imaging industry. Our in-house R&D and engineering teams ensure that our products meet or exceed OEM performance for yield and print quality through the design and implementation of propriety product development practices, manufacturing standards, process automation, and performance testing protocols.
In state-of-the-art ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified production facilities, empty high-quality OEM cores are given a second life when they go a thorough remanufacturing and testing process to become freecolor toner cartridges. Freecolor offers the broadest and deepest product selection, including cartridges that are compatible with all the leading brands. ISO 19752 (monochrome cartridges) and ISO 19798 (colour cartridges) testing standards for page yield, 100% post-production testing and quality toner powder result in a reliable product, only matched by the OEM.
The entire freecolor range represents a true alternative to the OEM, as it combines OEM performance with environmental sustainability and significant savings over the original cartridge.
CERTIFIED SUSTAINABILITY
Quality and sustainability are amongst the key features of our product.
Over the years, freecolor branded cartridges have acquired a
number of certifications to verify our commitment to both:
SUSTAINABLE LOGISTICS AND PACKAGING
Freecolor packaging uses sustainable materials. Long before the plastic pollution problem made international headlines, the majority of our inserts had been switched from plastic airbags to recyclable cardboard inserts.
Our boxes are also made from recyclable cardboard – and they are tailored to best product fit. This allows for more efficient use of cubic capacity, which results in fewer shipments overall thereby significantly reducing CO2 emissions and fossil fuel consumption – leading to an overall reduction in carbon footprint.
